About WebAcadia

Welcome, I’m Daniel Cormier the founder of WebAcadia. I believe that every small or medium-sized enterprise deserves an affordable and impactful online presence. I am passionate about helping businesses connect with their customers and grow their ventures.

I am born in Montreal. I met my wife Marilyn in Montreal in 1979, she was from Quinan, near Yarmouth,  Nova Scotia. We have a daughter named Diane. We moved to Quinan in 2006.

I have always been around computers, in 1983, I got a computer programmer diploma at Herzing Institut. I learned to program in COBOL (Common Business Oriented Language) and RPG on a mainframe computer IBM 360/370. We were feeding our program and data to the computer on a deck of punched cards using the Hollerith code or on big tape reels or disk packs.
( that makes me old! )

A little bit later I own an Atari computer and a Commodore 64 computer. They were some of the early personal computers and they were using BASIC for the programming language.

In 1993, I obtained an analyst programmer diploma using DOS for the operating system and the C programming language and database management systems like dBase and Clipper. It was also the beginning of the Windows operating system and of course, I got my first IBM PC.

In more recent years. I got very interested in website creation. I learned HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, WordPress, and WooCommerce and I love developing websites.

With my expertise and knowledge, I will create a stunning website that not only reflects your brand’s unique identity but also ensures that you are easily found by your target audience. Join me on this exciting journey as I empower you to thrive in the digital world.
